Leeds United were beaten to promotion from the Championship by Sheffield United, much to Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s disappointment.
Sheffield United stopper Dean Henderson has seemingly hit back at Leeds United fans on Twitter.
The Blades’ promotion to the Premier League was confirmed yesterday, when Leeds failed to beat Aston Villa at Elland Road.
And in his celebratory message, Henderson appeared as if he could not resist taking a swipe at Leeds fans.
Henderson came in for a great deal of abuse when Sheffield United took on Leeds back in March.
Blades won 1-0 on that day, and Henderson was central in helping Chris Wilder’s side pick up the three points at Elland Road.
Henderson was also videoed singing a chant against Leeds, as the Sheffield United players celebrated in the evening.
Henderson’s future at Sheffield United is not currently certain, as he is only on loan at Bramall Lane from Manchester United, and Wilder’s side are yet to agree a fee to keep the England youth international.
