Sheffield United have announced Slavisa Jokanovic as their new manager, and their owner has posted an image on Instagram of a meeting with the new gaffer.
The Blades had been linked with the former Fulham boss for quite some time now, and it’s finally been confirmed that he’ll be their new boss.
Jokanovic was announced as the new manager on Thursday afternoon, but eagle-eyed Blades fans may have seen this one coming a little bit before the official news broke.
Indeed, Sheffield United’s owner Prince Abdullah bin Musa’ad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud dropped a massive hint on Instagram, sharing an image of what a meeting with Jokanovic.
Replacing Chris Wilder will be a huge job, but if anyone is up to the task it’s Jokanovic. The Serbian has been promoted from the Championship on two occasions and he gets his teams playing some exceptional football.
Jokanovic has become the Blades’ first ever overseas manager, and he will certainly bring a fair share of foreign flair to Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United supporters should certainly be excited by this appointment.
