The Blades left-back, part of the 2016-17 League One championship-winning side, has gone on loan to Peterborough United.
Sheffield United confirmed this week that full-back Daniel Lafferty has joined Peterborough United on a loan until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old joined the Blades in January 2017 after being released by Burnley and has made 52 appearances for the South Yorkshire club, scoring five times and registering three assists according to Transfermarkt.
However, Lafferty has barely featured for Sheff Utd this season, with just one 18-minute Championship cameo against Aston Villa in September under his belt, plus three games spent on the bench.
The Northern Ireland left-back, who started his career at Celtic and has also played for Oldham Athletic and Derry City, has worked with Posh manager Steve Evans before, while the two were at Rotherham United.
“He’s been outstanding at Sheffield United. He’s fallen down the pecking order. I’ve followed his career as you do with your ex players and he was delighted to come when we started speaking to him,” Evans told ITV News Anglia.

Lafferty, who has 13 senior caps for his nation, could make his debut in Saturday’s FA Cup clash at Middlesbrough, while the Blades are in action on Sunday with a home tie against Barnet.
