Dowell, signed on loan from Premier League club Everton in the January transfer window, was in action for United in their Championship match against West Brom away from home at The Hawthorns on Saturday evening.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute and also had a good game overall.
According to WhoScored, the England Under-21 international had a pass accuracy of 83.3%, won one header, and made two interceptions and one clearance.
So far this season, Dowell has made four starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for Everton, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
The win against West Brom means that the Blades are now second in the league table with 64 points from 34 matches, just two points behind leaders Norwich City.
