Hull City are being linked with a move for the former Sheffield United manager.

Sheffield United fans have warned Hull City not to appoint their former manager Nigel Adkins.
Adkins is the early bookies favourite to succeed Leonid Slutsky at Hull, with the Hull Daily Mail subsequently reporting that he us under consideration by the Tigers’ hierarchy.
The former physio previously led Scunthorpe United and Southampton to promotion from League One (both) and the Championship (Southampton), but was unable to replicate that success in spells at Reading and Sheffield United.

Indeed, Adkins led the Blades to their lowest league finish for 33 years in his sole season at Bramall Lane – 11th in League One – before being replaced by current boss Chris Wilder.
And it not something that Sheffield United fans are ready to forget in a hurry.

Here’s what others have been saying about the potential Hull City appointment…
According to the Hull Daily Mail, former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert and sacked Sunderland boss Simon Grayson are strong contenders for Slutsky’s old position.
Would Adkins really be that bad for Hull?
