Sheffield United have snapped up Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Sheffield United secured a major signing on Monday afternoon as Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson penned a season-long loan deal with the club.
The Blades are looking to build on a top half finish in their first season back in the Championship, and manager Chris Wilder has been contemplating his goalkeeping options.
Chelsea-owned Jamal Blackman spent last season on loan at Bramall Lane, and whilst he impressed, Wilder has looked to a different Premier League goalkeeper for next season.

Manchester United’s Dean Henderson became the Blades’ top target, and whilst Wilder does have Simon Moore and Jake Eastwood to battle it out for playing time, Henderson arrived on Monday.
The 21-year-old shot-stopper joined Manchester United from Carlisle United in 2011, and has been coming up through the ranks with the Red Devils ever since, though has yet to make a first-team appearance.
After two loan spells away from Old Trafford, Henderson was sent out to Shrewsbury Town last season, and starred under Paul Hurst, helping the Shrews reach the League One play-off final.

Many clubs wanted to land Henderson, but it’s Sheffield United who have secured his signature, and he took to Twitter on Monday to post a rendition of the Blades’ famous Greasy Chip Butty song, anouncing himself as a United player.
Fans unsurprisingly lapped up Henderson’s introduction, claiming it’s the best tweet from a new signing the club have ever seen and the finest way to introduce himself to the Blades, noting that he is a ‘legend already’, with supporters well behind Wilder’s latest signing.
