Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson cannot wait for this weekend’s clash with Sheffield United.
Blades boss Chris Wilder is no different, but has a different approach, report the Yorkshire Post.
It is second against third, and could play a big influence on the automatic promotion race.
Jansson sent a passionate message to supporters urging them to get to Elland Road before kick off and create a raucous atmosphere.
The Leeds defender himself will be part of that, with his pre-game warm-up routine designed to gee up supporters.
Leeds’ players are ready for the clash, but so too are Sheffield United.
Blades boss Chris Wilder says his players are taking a calm and measured approach. Clearly the opposite end of the spectrum to Jansson.
He told the Yorkshire Post: “We are not intimidated by anyone.
“It is a sign of the maturity of the group. They are not over-hyped for this game, I have sensed that.
“But they are not horizontal either. It (chasing promotion) is a position we have been in before, same with many of the players and the staff. It comes through in the players’ attitude.”
Wilder helped Sheffield United win promotion to the Championship two seasons ago.
He clearly feels this benefits the Blades, and they will not be fazed by the atmosphere Jansson is trying to amp up at an already highly charged Elland Road.
Where Sheffield United may hope Jansson is too over-hyped, Wilder believes his players will stay calm and that will benefit them on Saturday.
