Leeds United were beaten to promotion by Sheffield United yesterday.

Sheffield United beat Leeds to promotion yesterday, after Marcelo Bielsa’s men failed to beat Aston Villa.
The Blades will now be playing Premier League football, much to the disappointment of Leeds.
And Wilder could not resist hitting back at Leeds’ players, after their comments against Sheffield United in recent weeks.
“I’ve got muppets from Leeds talking about pressure is on us, and Bamford and Forshaw,” he said. “And a couple of others. It’s over to you. They got beaten seven times since Christmas, we’ve got beaten once. We set it up and steamrolled them.”

Bamford and Forshaw both tried to put the pressure on Sheffield United in the press, but it didn’t seem to work.
Wilder’s men finished the season far stronger than Leeds, with the Easter weekend proving decisive.
Blades took four points, while Leeds lost both their matches, and it ended up proving very costly for Bielsa’s side.
Leeds will now go into the play offs, with Derby County looking their most likely semi-final opponents.
