The Owls striker spent last season on loan at Norwich and has been linked with a move away from Hillsborough.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to comment on their pre-season win over Northampton Town and Jordan Rhodes’ performance was widely praised by the Owls fanbase.
Wednesday took on the Cobblers at the PTS Academy Stadium on Tuesday in their third pre-season friendly on home soil before flying to Germany to step up their preparations for the 2019-20 Championship campaign.
Adam Reach and Steven Fletcher scored for the visitors – who had Lee Bullen in caretaker charge in the dugout – in the first 45 minutes of the match before Atdhe Nuhiu and Rhodes netted after the break to add gloss to the scoreline.
Here is what some Wednesday fans said about Rhodes on the social media platform during and after the game:
Rhodes joined Wednesday permanently in the summer of 2017 following a loan spell at Hillsborough the previous campaign but scored just seven goals in 2017-18.
He went on to spend last season on loan at Norwich City where he scored nine goals in 40 appearances for the Canaries en route to the Championship title, and has been linked with a permanent switch to Carrow Road, according to TEAMtalk.
