The Owls have appointed the Championship promotion specialist as their new manager, and some fans cannot wait for him to take the reins.
Sheffield Wednesday have finally announced the successor to Jos Luhukay as Steve Bruce has been confirmed as the new club manager.
The 58-year-old will take the Owls reins on February 1, with his long-time coaching associates Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence in temporary charge for the remainder of January.
Lee Bullen, Wednesday’s caretaker manager since the departure of Luhukay just before Christmas, will also remain part of the senior coaching setup, the club confirmed in a statement.
Bruce has pedigree in Championship promotion charges, having twice steered both Hull City and Birmingham City to the Premier League as well as guiding Aston Villa to the playoff final last summer.
In addition, the former Manchester United defender has also had stints at Huddersfield, Wigan, Crystal Palace and Sunderland since starting his managerial career in the late 1990s.

Wednesday return to action on Saturday with an FA Cup clash against Luton before facing Hull, Wigan and Brentford in the Championship, after which Bruce is set to take the Owls reins.
