A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have been giving their thoughts on the 2-0 League Cup defeat to Everton on Twitter and one of the players to come under the most scrutiny was right-back Moses Odubajo.

The 26-year-old joined the Owls from Championship rivals Brentford this summer but he has endured a tricky start to his Hillsborough career and on Tuesday night he was caught out for the first Everton goal, the marking poor as Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring on six minutes.

Odubajo was shaky throughout the encounter and, during and after the game, quite a few Wednesday fans made their feelings known about the £900,000-valued full-back (Transfermarkt) on social media:

Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring six minutes in after rifling a volley off the underside of the bar from close range following Djibril Sidibe’s cross-field ball, and the 22-year-old added a second just four minutes later, turning in he Alex Iwobi’s cut-back from close-range.

Up next for Garry Monk’s side is Saturday’s Championship trip to Middlesbrough, the Owls currently ninth in the table with 13 points from eight games.
