Danny and brother Nicky were heavily linked with the Owls this month but they’ve made the switch to West Yorkshire instead.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Danny Cowley has been appointed as Huddersfield Town manager.
The Owls were heavily linked with the 40-year-old over the past fortnight as they sought a replacement for Steve Bruce, who had left for Newcastle United in the summer.
Last week, Cowley responded to links with Wednesday by saying “that’s news to me”, while confirming that there had been talks with Huddersfield, though he decided “it wasn’t the right time” for that move (Lincolnshire Live).
Wednesday went on to appoint Garry Monk to the Hillsborough hotseat and, on Monday, the Terriers confirmed that Cowley and his brother Nicky had made the move to the John Smith’s Stadium from Lincoln City after all (official website).
Here is what some Owls fans said on social media after the Cowleys move to West Yorkshire was confirmed:
The new managers of their respective sides will lock horns on Sunday when Huddersfield host Wednesday at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Owls are currently 11th in the Championship table, while the Terriers are second from bottom.
