A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the news that two of the Owls fixtures in December have been selected for live coverage on Sky Sports.

The Hillsborough side have already had their fixtures against Cardiff, Stoke and Leeds chosen for live broadcasting recently and now the games against Derby and Bristol City have also joined that list.

As confirmed by the Wednesday website, the trip to Pride Park to face the Rams of Phillip Cocu will be shown live as a co-exclusive selection – the date of Wednesday 11 December and start time of 7.45pm remain unchanged.

The one which Owls fans will need to change their plans for is the pre-Christmas clash with Bristol City at Hillsborough, which has moved from Saturday 21 December to Sunday 22 with a kickoff time of 12.00pm.

Here is what some Wednesday fans said on social media regarding the news:

Garry Monk’s charges are sitting third in the Championship table following a 1-0 win over Stoke last time out making it three unbeaten, and up next is Saturday’s early kickoff against second-placed Leeds at Hillsborough.
