Sheffield Wednesday have coped admirably in the absence of the Owls captain and some of the Hillsborough faithful are unsure how he’ll slot back into Garry Monk’s side.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Owls post showing Hillsborough captain Tom Lees back in training.
The 28-year-old Wednesday defender had been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in the warm-up ahead of the Hillsborough fixture against Queens Park Rangers on 31 August.
Garry Monk commented last week on how Lees was due to come back on the training ground but was not in line for the game against Leeds as he needed to rebuild his football fitness (Twitter update).
On Wednesday, the Owls showed off footage of Lees doing drills, although it remains to be seen whether he will feature during Saturday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers, particularly given how well his stand-ins have been doing.
Here is some of the reaction from the Wednesday faithful on social media:
Dominic Iorfa has deputised well in the absence of Lees and on Saturday he was partnered in defence by central midfielder Sam Hutchinson, who dropped into the back four after Julian Borner pulled up in the warm-up (Yorkshire Evening Post).
