The Owls defender, brought to Hillsborough by Steve Bruce in January, impressed for Garry Monk’s side in Cardiff.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Owls playing out a controversial 1-1 draw at Cardiff and one player who was praised for his display was Dominic Iorfa.
The 24-year-old has played as a right-back for most of his career so far but has impressed at centre-back in the absence of Tom Lees and, on Friday night, put in another superb performance alongside Julian Borner.
So impressive was Iorfa in snuffing out Cardiff’s attacks time and time again, impressing on the ground and in the air, that it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Wednesday captain had a fight on his hands to regain his first-team place.
Here is some of the Hillsborough faithful’s social media reaction to the display from the £1.4million-valued (Transfermarkt) Steve Bruce signing:
Wednesday came close to victory in Wales as they led from the 19th minute, Borner scoring his first goal for the Owls, but Lee Tomlin’s contentious free kick, with Aden Flint seemingly lurking in an offside position and interfering with the keeper’s view, earned the hosts a share of the spoils.
