The Owls defender appeared to be booed by sections of the fanbase at Hillsborough.

A number of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Morgan Fox’s performance – as well as what was heard about him prior to kickoff – in Tuesday night’s 1-0 Championship win over Luton Town at Hillsborough.
The 25-year-old’s name appeared to be booed by some sections of the stadium when announced before the match and he looked somewhat shorn of confidence in the first half, but improved after the interval and, come the end of the game, was rated 6 out of 10 by The Star.
Wednesday, under the stewardship of caretaker manager Lee Bullen, went on to make it three wins from four Championship games, going top of the table in the process, as Kadeem Harris pounced onto Steven Fletcher’s knock-down header in the 54th minute to score the only goal of the game.
Though Fox’s performances have come under scrutiny by sections of the Owls fanbase, quite a few supporters deemed it unacceptable for the player to be booed before a ball had been kicked, and made their feelings known on social media.
Here is some of the reaction:
Fox has been at Wednesday since the start of 2017 after moving from Charlton Athletic in January of that year, and has made 71 appearances for the Owls, according to Transfermarkt.
