Tottenham Hotspur have two exciting teenagers who could make a real impact in pre-season.
Recent pictures have shown promising Tottenham Hotspur teenagers Cameron Carter-Vickers and Shayon Harrison in training as they bid to impress during pre-season.
While most of the headlines have been taken by the arrivals of Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen – with more new faces expected to arrive in due course –Tottenham fans should also get excited about the young pair.
Centre-back Carter-Vickers is widely expected to make his first-team breakthrough next season despite being only 18, with the young American potentially acting as fourth choice defender behind Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer.
With those three – and Eric Dier – all competing at Euro 2016, Carter-Vickers and Dominic Ball will have an early chance to impress Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, as will 19-year-old striker Harrison.
When you also factor in Kyle Walker-Peters’ and Josh Onomah’s participation in the U19 European Championships, which kicked off this week, Harrison and Carter-Vickers could be the top of the pile when it comes to youngsters set to make an impact during pre-season and potentially when the competitive action begins next month.
Harrison could even have the chance to play alongside Janssen and potentially strike up a partnership with him in the absence of Kane, who is enjoying a well-earned rest after a long hard campaign for club and country.
