Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers will face Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Back in August, Caixinha reiterated his stance that Rangers have the best squad in Scotland, as quoted by The Daily Mail.
Given, who started his career at Celtic but did not make a single first-team appearance for the Bhoys, has dismissed the Rangers boss’s claim.

“That’s nonsense,” Given told Sky Sports about Caixinha’s comments about his Rangers squad. “That’s nonsense. He can’t come up with that.
“Celtic are unbeaten in 57 games. They are clearly the best squad in Scotland. They are in the Champions League. Rangers got knocked out by some team from Luxembourg in the European competition.”

Rangers have a strong team and made a number of good signings in the summer transfer window, including star defender Bruno Alves.
However, it is clear for everyone to see that Rangers do not have the best squad in Scotland, Celtic do.
After all, the Hoops won the Scottish Premiership title last season without losing a single match, and also clinched the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
One should not be surprised if Brendan Rodgers’s side repeat their heroics of the 2016-17 campaign this season.
