The Manchester United left-back could fill a void for Everton.

With the transfer window open, Everton are seeking to strengthen their squad and left-back remains a position where a new recruit is required.
Cuco Martina has featured regularly at left-back under Sam Allardyce but doesn’t appear to be a longterm option in that area of the pitch, while Leighton Baines has struggled for form and fitness this campaign.

Luke Shaw has recently worked his way back into the Manchester United starting lineup but there remains some uncertainty regarding the defender’s future at Old Trafford, and it was reported in November that Everton were monitoring his situation, as reported by The Telegraph.
Given that he is now back in favour with Jose Mourinho, Shaw may well be inclined to remain at United, but if Everton do have a chance to sign the 22-year-old then they should definitely take it.

Shaw would be the perfect solution to Everton’s left-back struggles given that he is both dependable defensively and also capable of making a major impact in an attacking sense.
Everton need a reliable performer at left-back and Shaw, who now appears to finally be over his injury struggles, certainly falls into that category.
