Leeds United beat Aston Villa 2-0 in their latest match at Elland Road.
Shaun Derry has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he is delighted to see attendances rising at Elland Road again, after watching Leeds United take on Aston Villa.
Leeds have moved up to fourth in the Championship table, after a brilliant run of form, which has lifted them into the play offs.
Leeds fans have reacted to their side’s good form by turning up to matches in great numbers.

The Whites sold out for their recent match against Newcastle United, and they had over 30,000 fans watching them play Villa in their most recent home match.
And Derry, who used to play for Leeds, believes that having a packed out Elland Road will only help Garry Monk’s side’s form get even stronger.
“That was one thing that struck me on Saturday (during the win over Villa),” Derry said.

“Elland Road is starting to fill up again. It’s starting to look full. That makes a big difference. I always found that Elland Road with 20,000 in it felt a bit empty. Other grounds would be packed to the rafters but in Elland Road the empty seats stood out. With 35,000 in there it’s a different place to play altogether and, in my opinion, a hell of a lot harder for visiting players.”
Leeds are now in their highest league position since 2011, with Monk making a brilliant start at the Yorkshire club.
The Whites are next in action on Friday evening, when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion, and if they are able to get the victory they will move to within four points of the automatic promotion spots.
