Peterborough United-owned Mansfield Town striker Shaq Coulthirst was impressed with Mousa Dembele’s performance against KAA Gent in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Tottenham Hotspur took on KAA Gent at the Wembley Stadium in London on Thursday evening. Spurs were looking to overturn a 1-0 defeat to the Belgian club away from home in the first leg of the Europa League round of 32 tie last week.
Many would have expected Tottenham to win the second leg and progress to the next round of the competition. However, Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw and were knocked out of the Europa League.
Shaq Coulthirst was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele.
The 22-year-old Peterborough United-owned Mansfield Town striker, who left the North London outfit in January 2016, claimed on social networking site Twitter that the Belgium international midfielder is world class.
Dembele is a brilliant footballer and has progressed massively over the past two or so years at Tottenham.
The 29-year-old midfielder has established himself as a key figure in the Spurs midfielder under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 25 matches, 10 points behind leaders and London rivals Chelsea.
