Southampton striker Shane Long admits there is ‘extra’ pressure on his shoulders due to his £12 million price-tag.
But the Southampton forward insists he doesn’t let that get to him – and his solution is pretty straightforward.
Indeed, Long simply gives his all, knowing that, that way, he can never look back on his time at St Mary’s with any regrets.
“The club spent a massive amount of money on me and people ask me ‘Is it extra pressure on your shoulders?’ But I go in and give my all every week,” Long is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
“If that’s not good enough then I can look back and say ‘Well, I gave it everything and it wasn’t to be.’”

The 27-year-old has, however, created 10 chances this term – more than the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin, Nathaniel Clyne and others.
