Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Burnley announced a fantastic gesture ahead of fans returning to Premier League stadiums.
The Clarets will have fans back inside Turf Moor for their clash against Liverpool on Wednesday 19th May.
Amazingly, Burnley have made tickets for the game free for the 3,500 supporters who are allowed to attend.
It is a wonderful move from Sean Dyche’s side, who clearly care about their fans and are understanding of the financial impacts caused by COVID-19.
On the contrary, Tottenham have done the exact opposite in a move which reeks of greed and a lack of empathy.
Those Spurs fans who will be attending the game against Aston Villa on May 19th have been forced to pay £60 to watch their team play for the first time in ages.
If that wasn’t cheeky enough, Tottenham also charged a £1.75 booking fee!

That £60 is a flat rate, so no matter which seat fans are given, they’ll all be paying the same price.
At a time where many have lost their jobs, Tottenham have shown a complete lack of empathy to those desperate to get back to their football.
Aside from the financial aspect, many have struggled mentally at not being able to watch their side – it acts as an escape for lots of people.

So, for Tottenham to welcome fans back by making them pay £60 is a real slap in the face.
After the past few weeks, in which Tottenham also angered fans by signing up for the Super League, the club really has come across as tone deaf.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about Burnley’s wonderful gesture…
