Newcastle United and West Ham United have both been linked with the 30-year-old.
Shaka Hislop has told ESPN that he would prefer to see Joe Hart end up at Newcastle United this summer than West Ham United.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper is linked with a move away from Manchester City and, according to The Sunderland Echo, he wants a switch to Newcastle.
But The Telegraph reported last month that the £18m-rated star was also wanted by West Ham and it remains to be seen which side winds up signing the England international.

Hislop spent time at both clubs during his spell in the Premier League, and the ESPN pundit would rather see Hart at St James’s Park next season and cites Rafael Benitez’s previous work with goalkeepers as the main reason for that choice.
He told ESPN after being asked if Hart was going to join Newcastle or West Ham: “He’s welcome at either one of those clubs but if I had to choose one of West Ham or Newcastle then I’d choose Newcastle because of Rafa Benitez.
“I think Rafa Benitez has shown in the past how well he works with goalkeepers. It makes perfect sense.”
Both the Magpies and West Ham could do with a top-quality number one between the sticks but it remains to be seen whether they will sign one.
Hart, with all of his experience, is certainly a fine option, and he has years left in his career, but his reported £120,000-a-week wages might just be a stumbling block in his proposed move to the North East.
