Tottenham Hotspur look set to sign Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, Tottenham will pay £25 million as transfer fee to PSG in order to secure the services of the Brazil international winger.

It has also been reported that Manchester United and Liverpool were interested in the 25-year-old, but it is Spurs who are claimed to have secured the services of the former Sao Paulo star.

Former Newcastle United and West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, who now works as a pundit for ESPN, though, does not think that Moura will be a good signing for any of the clubs in the top six of the Premier League in the January transfer window.

Hislop told ESPN FC: “I like Lucas Moura as a player, I will be honest. But when you think of Lucas Moura, when you think of the clubs that he could possibly go to in the Premier League, you look at the top six. None of them are a good fit for me. It just doesn’t make sense. I will put that down as a Miss.”

Moura is a very talented player, and although the 25-year-old’s progress has been stunted in recent years, one should not be forget that he is still relative young.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is a very good coach who knows how to develop players, and working under the Argentine is only going to make Moura a better footballer.
