The ESPN pundit has hailed the Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool men.

Shaka Hislop has told ESPN that Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane have been the best players in the Premier League so in the 2016-17 campaign.
Son has certainly been Tottenham’s most influential player after netting four league goals for Spurs in as many games – last season, it took him 28 Premier League outings to reach that figure.
With Harry Kane out injured, the Lilywhites needed somebody to step up to the mark and the 24-year-old – a £22 million signing from Bayer Leverkusen last August – has certainly done that for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season.

There have been similar heroics on Merseyside due to the form of Mane, who has scored three times in six Premier League outings for Liverpool following his £35 million switch from Southampton in July.
He has been an instant hit at Anfield, and Hislop says that the pair are a cut above the rest so far this season.

“Son has probably been the best player in the league so far this season,” he told ESPN.
“I mentioned Son as being one of the best players in the league so far, but Mane is right alongside him. He makes Liverpool tick. When he’s not playing, Liverpool struggle. When he is, they’re almost unplayable. Massive hit.”
You do get the impression that whatever Liverpool and Tottenham achieve this season, those two will play big, big roles in it.
