West Ham United are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
West Ham have recently appointed former Manchester United and Everton boss Moyes as their manager following the departure of Slaven Bilic.
The Hammers are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with just nine points from 11 matches, a point behind 17th-placed Bournemouth.
Former West Ham goalkeeper Hislop does not seem to be too confident about Moyes getting the team back on track, which is quite telling.
“My simple answer is I hope so,” Hislop told ESPN FC when asked if Moyes will keep West Ham up.
Meanwhile, former Derby County and Leicester City midfielder Robbie Savage has suggested that Moyes needs to succeed at West Ham for his career.
The Scotsman was a huge success during his time at Everton, but his subsequent managerial spells at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland have not been great.
“Moyes is probably in the last chance saloon as far as managing a big Premier League club is concerned,” Savage wrote in The Mirror.
“Five years ago, he was one of the most coveted managers in British football and, if you look at what he spent over his 11 years at Goodison Park, he probably over-achieved at Everton.”
West Ham will return to action on Sunday when they take on Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League.
