Shaka Hislop has suggested to ESPN FC that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The former Newcastle United and West Ham United goalkeeper, though, does not fancy Liverpool to end up in the top four.

Hislop told ESPN FC about Tottenham and Liverpool’s top-four chances: “I picked Spurs to finish in the top four and I am going to stick to that for now, but I have to admit given their struggles against Swansea, given how good Liverpool are looking of late, Liverpool are in better form right now.

“I know they have just made a new signing, I just feel that Liverpool’s defence may yet let them down.”

Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 40 points from 21 matches.

The North London outfit are four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool and have a game in hand.

Spurs are in good form at the moment, and they should be able to pick up all three points against West Ham at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League this evening.

Liverpool are going strong as well, and given the signing of defender Virgil van Dijk from Southampton in the January transfer window, the Reds will be hugely confident of ending up in the Champions League places for the second season in a row.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are also aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
