Celtic face a fresh suitor for Moussa Dembele.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele
La Liga side Sevilla are keen to sign Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
The France under-21 forward has been prolific for Celtic this past season, netting 32 goals in all competitions, including strikes in the Champions League.
Sevilla fans
Sevilla know they face competition from AC Milan for Dembele’s signature, but it is claimed by Sport that they will attempt to put forward a financial package which Celtic find tempting.
It is claimed that Dembele ‘fits perfectly’ the type of player Sevilla’s sporting director is attempting to sign this summer.
Celtic signed Dembele on the cheap last summer after his Fulham contract ran down and he became one of the bargains of the season, going onto torment rivals Rangers.
Sevilla finished in fourth place in La Liga last season and do have Champions League football on offer, unlike AC Milan.
What remains questionable is whether Sevilla really have the cash to compete with Milan or sway Celtic into a sale, with the Scottish champions likely to drive a hard bargain.
