Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli has praised Samir Nasri for his impact at the club and says he is at ‘the height of his game’.
Speaking via the Daily Mail, the Chilean heralded the Frenchman, as Nasri scored the only goal of the game in Los Rojiblancos’ 1-0 UEFA Champions League win away to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.
The win leaves the winners of the UEFA Europa League for the last three years level on points with Juventus in Group H, as the La Liga side make the step up to the top tier of domestic European competition.

It was the 29 year-old’s third goal since making the loan move away from Manchester City on the last day of August.
Sampaoli hailed Nasri’s match-winning impact, as the midfielder looks to reignite his career.
“Nasri is performing and showing how good he is. He is a player at the height of his game, and he is getting us through the games,’ said Sampaoli.
‘We deserved more goals, but in these games if you don’t have success you cannot afford mistakes.”
Since making the switch from Premier League rivals Arsenal, Nasri has both enjoyed and suffered contrasting fortunes at the Etihad.

Having scored just 18 goals in five seasons in Manchester, last term was punctuated by a lengthy absence after sustaining a tendon injury in training.
Following the arrival of Pep Guardiola and the additions of wide men Nolito and Leroy Sané, Nasri has become surplus to requirements for The Citizens.
Jorge Sampaoli however believes his contribution to the club is vital for the clubs’ progression, as the former Chilean national coach makes the switch to domestic management.
He also adds he is philosophical in terms of expectations, as he settles into life in Andalusia.
“If we are not strong it will be difficult to compete with better teams. With the passage of time, I hope to improve this.”
