The Rangers midfielder has not always been first pick during Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox reign.

Rangers’ trip to Celtic may be more than a week away, but some Gers fans are already calling for Ross McCrorie to start at Parkhead.
The Rangers academy product captained Scotland’s Under-21s on Friday but has been used sparingly by Steven Gerrard of late.
That is despite having impressed for Rangers in December’s Old Firm win over Celtic at Ibrox.
In quotes published by the Scottish Sun this week, McCrorie insisted he is not concerned by his recent lack of action.
However, not all those of a Rangers persuasion agree with their player’s comments.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
McCrorie is also quoted as having told the Scottish Sun that he now sees himself as a central midfielder, having begun his career at the heart of defence.
His is a position in which Rangers are not short of options, however, with Scott Arfield, Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara, Steven Davis, Lassana Coulibaly and Graham Dorrans also competing for places at Ibrox.
Should McCrorie return for Rangers against Celtic?
