1) No key players sold in January
Posh have had a tendency to sell key players midway through the season in recent times, only for it to derail a promotion push. If Grant McCann can keep his current squad together, a top six finish looks a real possibility.
2) A new striker
Despite Posh’s impressive run of form recently, there are doubts over both Shaquille Coulthirst and Tom Nichols. Neither have scored frequently enough and a potent front man could make a real difference.
3) Luke McGee to stay permanently
Posh have done brilliantly to extend McGee’s loan from Tottenham Hotspur the end of the season, but if they could sort out a permanent transfer it would be a fantastic signing.
4) Marcus Maddison to re-find his form
Maddison remains a divisive talent at the ABAX Stadium, but there is no questioning that Posh are a stronger side when he is at the top of his game.
5) Someone to buy Ricardo Santos
He’s just not good enough.
6) A win against Gillingham on Boxing Day
If Posh can get a win against Gillingham on Boxing Day, they will continue to strengthen their place in the top six and could even move into automatic promotion 11contention.
7) Promotion
Ultimately, the aim for Posh is promotion this season, and it seems that anything else will be seen as a failure by both Grant McCann and Darragh MacAnthony.
