Massimiliano Allegri has been speaking to the media ahead of Juventus vs AC Milan, where he spoke about West Ham and Aston Villa target Aaron Ramsey.
What’s the story?
Well, the Juventus boss revealed that Ramsey is “set to leave” Turin very soon, with a return to the Premier League a strong possibility.
It was Eurosport who claimed that West Ham are interested in signing the 31-year-old, who made 262 Premier League appearances for Arsenal.
Elsewhere, it was Sport Mediaset who wrote that Aston Villa were keen on signing the 71-cap Wales international.
Now, Allegri has confirmed Ramsey will leave Juventus before deadline day.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, the 54-year-old said: “Aaron’s not with the team as he’s set to leave the club.”
The Welshman has been left out of the squad to face AC Milan, as a return to the Premier League seems imminent.
So far this season, Ramsey has played just 98 minutes of football in Serie A, due to a combination of injuries and Allegri not fancying him too much.
In truth, it has been a miserable time in Italy for the former Cardiff man, who has only scored six goals in 70 games for Juventus.
West Ham or Aston Villa?

In our view, Ramsey should choose West Ham over Aston Villa.
He is familiar with London having spent over a decade at Arsenal, so he wouldn’t need much time to settle back in.
Additionally, David Moyes isn’t blessed with loads of central midfield options, so Ramsey is more likely to play at the London Stadium.
Steven Gerrard, contrastingly, can choose from the likes of John McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Philippe Coutinho, Jacob Ramsey, Morgan Sanson and Marvelous Nakamba.

After a turbulent time in Turin, Ramsey needs to be in the right environment to thrive.
In our view, he is far more likely to find success in east London than if he opted for the Midlands.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems a move is now imminent.
