Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon had been valued at £50m but could Spurs sign him for half that?
Tottenham Hotspur could have been given a significant boost in their pursuit of Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon in the shape of a recent price-tag.
The Telegraph are one of many publications to report Spurs’ interest in Sessegnon and in February claimed the Premier League club were prepared to spend up to £35m on the 17-year-old.
They also add that the Cottagers are holding out for closer to £50m for a teenager who already has 65 first team appearances to his name and 19 goals – 14 of which have been scored this season.
Yet a new report from the Sun claims that Sessegnon is in fact only rated at £25m, which for Tottenham would represent an absolute steal for one of the most highly rated young players in the country.
Manchester United have also shown interest in the left-sided ace – who has played as a full-back and winger this term – but the North Londoners remain favourites to sign the England Under-21 international.
They did view Sessegnon as a replacement for Danny Rose, who has also been linked with an exit, although the youngster’s tendency to play further up the pitch in recent times may see manager Mauricio Pochettino rethink that plan.
