It’s no secret that Arsenal need a new striker this summer, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both out of contract in June.
Mikel Arteta made attempts to sign Dusan Vlahovic in January, but the Serbian eventually decided to join Juventus.
Now, it seems the Gunners have moved onto another target, as they find themselves in advanced talks to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
What’s the story?
Well, it was Jorge Nicola who made the claim on YouTube, as he revealed the £91,000-a-week man had agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
The Athletic have since added that Jesus would be open to joining Arteta at the Emirates Stadium, having worked with the Spaniard in Manchester.

If the move does materialise, we’d imagine it would have the approval of Gary Lineker, who seems to be a big fan of the Brazil international.
Back in February 2017 – just a few weeks after Jesus arrived in England from Palmeiras for a £27m fee – the BBC Match of the Day host praised his ability.
It’s no surprise that Lineker was impressed by Jesus, as the South American enjoyed an impressive start to life at the Etihad Stadium by scoring three goals in his first three Premier League appearances.
Gabriel Jesus would thrive at Arsenal
In our view, Arsenal is the ideal environment for a forward like Jesus to thrive.
As aforesaid, the 25-year-old would be playing under a coach he knows well in Arteta, which should help him settle.
Jesus also has plenty of fellow Brazilians in north London, such as Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhães and Edu.

Furthermore, the South American is versatile, having shone in the centre and also out wide under Pep Guardiola.
Therefore, Jesus should do well interlinking with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Martinelli.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it sounds like there’s a good chance of the deal happening.
