Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after a 13-second clip of Tanguy Ndombele playing football with his friends emerged.
What happened?
In the footage, we see Tottenham’s No.28 breeze past a challenge, before slamming a stupendous strike into the top left corner.
Ndombele hits the ball so cleanly, with so much power and swerve, that it takes a huge dip before nestling into the net.
It was a reminder for Tottenham fans of the Frenchman’s immense ability, which they have not seen since he last played on 19th May.
Ryan Mason seemingly wasn’t a huge fan of the 24-year-old.
The 30-year-old even left him on the bench for the entirety of Tottenham’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Tottenham must build their team around Tanguy Ndombele
Despite an impressive 2020/21 season, there is still so much more to come from the £53.8 million maestro.
Ndombele hasn’t really been able to show his best form at Tottenham.
The man who signed him in Mauricio Pochettino was sacked shortly after Ndombele arrived in north London.
Then, he was paired with a manager in Jose Mourinho who seemed to take a dislike to him initially.
Of course, Ndombele has work to do himself to ensure he keeps improving and can deliver consistently on a weekly basis.
However, his talent is immense, and there’s no reason why he can’t become one of the Premier League’s best.
Whoever Daniel Levy hires to replace Mourinho must build the side around Ndombele – at 24, he is the future of Tottenham’s midfield.
