‘Serious serious baller’: Danny Simpson blown away by Arsenal midfielder last night

Danny Simpson has raved about Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe on Twitter.

The former Leicester City and Huddersfield Town right-back was impressed by the performance produced by Smith Rowe during Arsenal’s 4-1 win against Rapid Vienna at the Emirates Stadium in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

Simpson played with the 20-year-old attacking midfielder at Huddersfield Town last season.

The Arsenal youngster spent the second half of last season on loan at Huddersfield.

How did Emile Smith Rowe play for Arsenal?

Smith Rowe played well for Arsenal, as the youngster looked very lively in attack and scored the fourth goal for the Gunners midway through the second half.

The attacking midfielder came on as a substitute in the 63rd minute and scored just three minutes later.

According to WhoScored, the 20-year-old made took one shot which ended in goal, had a pass accuracy of 88.2%, took 19 touches, and attempted one dribble.

So far this season, the attacking midfielder has made two substitute appearances in the Europa League and has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.
