Tottenham Hotspur look set to make a fourth summer signing by bringing in Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.
Spurs have already added Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty this summer, but Jose Mourinho now wants a left back.
Ben Davies needs competition, and Reguilon now looks set to make the move to North London after rumours intensified on Tuesday.
AS report that Daniel Levy and Mourinho spoke to Real Madrid about a deal on Tuesday, and Spurs will win the race because they are accepting a buy-back clause into the deal – something Manchester United don’t want.
The Daily Mail add that Reguilon wants Spurs over United now, having realised just how much Mourinho wants him to join Tottenham.
The 23-year-old looks to an exciting signing having excelled on loan at Sevilla last season – and some of his old tweets are being dug up by excited Tottenham fans.

Spurs fans found one 2012 tweet from Reguilon in which he merely posted Jose Mourinho’s name; Mourinho was Real boss at the time, and a 15-year-old Reguilon was coming through the Real ranks as he seemingly showed some appreciation to ‘The Special One’.
Another tweet has surfaced from 2013, in which he posted ‘I love you’ with a picture of Gareth Bale, months before the Welshman left Tottenham for Real Madrid.
BBC now claim that Tottenham are in talks to re-sign Bale, meaning Reguilon could soon find himself playing for Mourinho and playing with Bale in a remarkable twist of fate.
