Speaking to Soccer AM’s YouTube Channel, Sergio Reguilon has claimed that Harry Kane is very similar to Karim Benzema.
Kane and Benzema have both established themselves as two of the best centre-forwards in the world over the past decade, so it’s no surprise to hear them being compared, but Reguilon has played with both men, and he thinks they’re very much alike.
“Harry, I’ve never seen that. Karim looks like him, but Harry has more goals than Karim, he’s an amazing amazing player,” Reguilon said.
“Yes, they (Kane and Benzema) are very similar, because they are strikers and they play for the team, they score goals for sure, but how many assist does Harry have for Son? I think eight? I don’t know, but he plays for the team also.”

Compliments don’t come much bigger than this.
Nobody needs reminding about how good Kane is, his individual accolades from over the years speak for themselves, but even still, to be compared to Karim Benzema is an honour for any footballer.
The man is a four-time Champions League winner, and while Kane doesn’t quite have the same trophy haul, he certainly has a similar level of talent.
Reguilon is lucky enough to have played with both strikers, and we can only hope that the left-back returns from injury sooner rather than later to provide the crosses that Kane has thrived on this season.
