Kiko Casilla became Leeds United’s first signing of the January transfer window.

Sergio Ramos has taken to Twitter to wish Kiko Casilla well after the goalkeeper swapped Real Madrid for Leeds United and became the Championship leaders’ first signing of the January transfer window.
The move has appeared to be on the cards for some time. Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s priority this month looked set to be to sign a new goalkeeper with Bailey Peacock-Farrell the only option with more than one senior appearance under his belt.
Nevertheless, the news left the supporters delighted when the club confirmed on their official website that the Spaniard has signed a four and a half year deal with the Whites.
The 32-year-old was an understudy throughout his second spell at the Bernabeu, but it still appears to be a superb piece of business from Leeds as they look to maintain their position at the top of the second tier.

And following the announcement, Los Blancos’ captain has taken to social media to pay tribute to Casilla and wish him luck for the coming years.
Obviously Leeds fans do not need any reminding of the club Casilla has joined from, but Ramos’ message is undoubtedly another indication of how great a coup they have potentially pulled off to get the stopper in this month.
