Sergio Ramos has told Keylor Navas on Instagram ‘we will miss you dearly’ ahead of his loan move from Paris Saint-Germain to Nottingham Forest.
The PSG centre-back added that ‘football is as wonderful as the people it puts you on your path’, as he accompanied his message with a video of Ramos kissing the goalkeeper on the cheek, then joking around with him.
With Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson out injured, it forced Forest, on transfer deadline day, to push for another keeper, as they secured a deal for Costa Rica’s 36-year-old star, Navas.
And now he is Forest-bound, with Ramos sending him the following message: ‘Football is as wonderful as the people it puts you on your path. My friend, brother, you opened the doors of your home to make us feel yours, you accompanied us at all times and together we have continued to build special memories… And the ones to come! All the best in this new stage, Mae. We’ll miss you dearly, but we’ll always be close. Pure life.”
BIG MOVES BY FOREST
A lot has been made about the number of players Forest has brought in since their promotion, but it needs to be remembered, that all of this was needed.
Steve Cooper was under serious pressure at the start of the season, but the process he is taking the Midlands giants down needs to be trusted.

Slowly but surely, the team is looking a lot better, playing better football, looking more threatening at home, but most importantly, looking like they will survive the drop.
There is still a long way to go, but with someone of Dean Henderson’s character and presence now in the treatment room, a player like Navas is a serious, serious purchase by the team.
Navas’ calmness, experience and game-winning ability could and should prove to be very useful during the crunch moments of the season.
It’s yet to be known where the goalkeeper’s fitness and sharpness levels are at, but with Leeds visiting the City Ground on Sunday, could he make his debut? Or will it most likely happen next week against Fulham? Perhaps the latter.
