Former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos could be about to do Liverpool a big favour this summer.
Sergio Ramos and Liverpool certainly have no love lost between each other after the events of 2018. With the Spaniard jostling with Mohamed Salah during the Champions League final between Real Madrid and the Reds which led to an injury for the forward.
Salah fell following a tussle with Ramos and the Egyptian suffered a shoulder problem which meant he was substituted during the European final with the Spanish giants running out 3-1 winners thanks to a superb cameo appearance from Gareth Bale.
Nevertheless, the damage was done and the Spanish defender received criticism for the incident. But Ramos could be about to do the Reds a big favour.

HITC reported earlier this month that Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk was attracting interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
The Dutch defender has been at Anfield for six and a half years and has firmly established himself as a club legend with his dominant performances as Liverpool won the Champions League and Premier League in consecutive seasons.
However, Liverpool are hoping to tie the Dutchman down to a new contract under Arne Slot and it appears the Middle Eastern side have identified another target.
According to a report from Spanish outlet AS, Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Hierro are pushing hard for Ramos to end up at Al-Nassr.
Ramos’ time at Sevilla came to an end this summer as he will leave the La Liga club and has his choice of clubs to choose from but the offer from the Saudi Pro League is described as ‘juicy’.
Ramos the alternative for Van Dijk
The part that will appeal to the Saudi Pro League about signing Ramos is that the Spaniard will not command a fee.
With Van Dijk, the Dutch defender would demand a fee but if Al-Nassr did move for Ramos, this would come as a welcome boost for the Reds.
As for Ramos, the Spaniard has had a glittering career in Europe and it seems likely that he could be on his way to the Middle East.
