His return was handed a huge boost on Saturday afternoon as he featured in the second half of the Villans 8-0 pre-season win over Gak 1902.

It was an emotional and inspiring moment for football in general, and Ramos has taken to Twitter to react.
It now remains to be seen whether Petrov can earn himself a new contract at Villa Park this summer.
The club has had a difficult time of it over the last year, culminating in their disastrous relegation from the Premier League last season.
They are in desperate need of inspiration in the Championship next season, and who better to provide it to Roberto di Matteo and his team than their former captain Petrov.
