Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers will face Porto at Ibrox this evening.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Conceicao made the remarks following Gerrard’s comments that the pressure tonight is all on Porto, not on Rangers, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
Rangers will take on Porto at Ibrox in Europa League Group G on Thursday evening.
Conceicao has said that historically Porto have played consistently in the Champions League and the Europa League more than Rangers.
Conceicao told The Scottish Sun when asked about Gerrard’s comments: “I don’t know if that is a bit of a bluff from Rangers. Whether we are favourites or not, we’ll see how we perform.
“The opinion of Steven Gerrard is his opinion. Managers all have their own opinions. But historically we are used to the Champions League and Europa League more than Rangers so we are maybe more at home in European competition.
“Now we have to prove that. We know these games aren’t easy. It’s never easy. Rangers are a very competitive team.
“Rangers will draw on the aggression and competitiveness needed to succeed at this level.”

Big game at Ibrox
Both Rangers and Porto are on four points from three matches in Europa League Group G, and Thursday evening’s match is going to be massive in terms of progressing to the knockout round of the competition.
Playing at home will give Rangers an advantage, but Porto do have a very good team and have a lot of experience in European football.
A draw could prove to be the final outcome of the match at Ibrox this evening.
