Leeds United’s hope of automatic promotion suffered a huge dent on Monday.

Sergi Canos was the scourge of Leeds United on Monday.
The Spanish star set up one and scored another as Brentford effectively ended Leeds’ chances of automatic promotion with a 2-0 win at Griffin Park.
Canos set up Neal Maupay to open the scoring on the stroke of half time, before scoring himself on 62 minutes.
The former Barcelona and Liverpool starlet was a thorn for Marcelo Bielsa’s side all evening and here’s how the 22-year-old reacted to the win on Instagram.
Leeds are third and three points behind second-placed Sheffield United with only two Championship games left, though the Blades also boast a stronger goal difference.
The Elland Road side welcome Aston Villa to West Yorkshire next, and if they drop points and Chris Wilder’s side win at home to relegated Ipswich Town on Saturday then that will officially end the Whites’ hope of reaching the Premier League without the playoff.
