Tottenham Hotspur were always bound to be linked with a host of players for the January transfer window, having failed to bring in any new signings over the summer.

Mauricio Pochettino will certainly be in the market for additions when the transfer window re-opens, and a whole host of players are already being linked with moves to North London.

A whole host of midfielders are believed to be targets, but wingers are also being linked – and another was linked earlier today, more than two months until the window opens.

TEAMtalk report that Pochettino admires Dynamo Kiev winger Viktor Tsygankov, and is pushing for a January move to lure the Ukrainian to the Premier League.

The likes of Yevhen Konoplyanka and Andriy Yarmolenko have dominated conversation on Ukrainian wingers of late, but Tsygankov is rivalling both of them – and may even surpass them soon.

The 20-year-old hit 17 goals in all competitions last season and has started this term in form too, grabbing five goals and five assists in 18 games, becoming the hottest prospect in Ukrainian football.

Pacey, skilful and with a superb left foot, Tsygankov could provide a real spark to the Spurs attack if Pochettino does manage to sign him in January – and one ex-Spurs player is certainly a fan.

Former Tottenham striker Sergei Rebrov managed Tsygankov at Dynamo Kiev, and told UEFA’s website in 2016 that he predicts a ‘great career’ for the wide man, providing a strong backing for Tottenham’s latest target.

“He is Dynamo’s future,” said Rebrov. It’s no coincidence he made his first start in a Champions League game and he really took his chance, providing an assist against Napoli. If he hones his natural talent the right way, he will have a great career,” he added.
