Back in August, Arsenal sanctioned the departure of Sam Greenwood to Leeds, after he had spent two years in their Hale End academy.
The England Under-18 international scored an impressive 15 goals in 39 games for Arsenal’s Under-18 side.
However, that wasn’t enough to impress those at the Emirates Stadium.
Now, it’s starting to look like the Gunners made a huge error.
Last night, Greenwood became a Premier League 2 champion with Leeds, after scoring nine goals in 16 appearances.
It was his stunning freekick in the fourth minute that helped Leeds achieve the feat, as they went on to beat Aston Villa 2-1.
In our view, this could be another Serge Gnabry situation.

Back in 2016, Arsenal sold Gnabry – who was just 21 – to Werder Bremen.
The German had huge potential, but it didn’t seem like a big deal at the time as he failed to perform in north London.
However, it now seems like a massive error, as Gnabry has gone on to be one of Europe’s deadliest forwards.
Now 25, he has 15 goals in 19 games for Germany, and also scored 23 goals last season as Bayern Munich won a Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League treble.

Greenwood is yet to hit such heights, of course.
Having said that, he seems like a potential star of the future, so much so that he’s already made his first-team debut for Leeds.
Arsenal will be praying that they haven’t made the same mistake twice.
