Serge Aurier joined Tottenham Hotspur from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.

Aurier joined Premier League club Tottenham from Ligue 1 outfit PSG in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £23 million.
The 24-year-old right-back has revealed that he would liked to stay at PSG.

“I’m conscious [of what I did],” Aurier told RMC Sport, as translated by Football.London. “I’m intelligent, even if sometimes it doesn’t seem that way. I’ve always made important and interesting choices in my career.”
“After a while, you become aware that things are difficult for the kids who watch us and are our fans. Of course I would have liked to stay at PSG.
“It’s the club of my heart. I come from Sevran. I’m from Paris. There’s nothing better than playing for the club you love.”

One can understand why Aurier would have wanted to remain at PSG. The right-back developed well during his time at the Parisian club and was playing well, but off-pitch controversies did not help his cause.
The Ivory Coast international right-back told EPSN in November that there was a chance for him to join Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Ian Wright has been quoted as saying by The Sport Review that Tottenham fans would back Mauricio Pochettino’s side decision to sell Danny Rose to Manchester United.
According to The Daily Mail, United are confident that they will be able to secure the services of the England international left-back in the January transfer window or next summer.
“They’d back Mauricio because of what he is doing and the project,” The Sport Review quotes Wright as saying about Rose.
