New Tottenham Hotspur signing Serge Aurier was delighted to watch his new side pick up a win against Everton at the weekend.
The Ivory Coast international was an unused substitute in the 3-0 win.
Aurier posted a message on Instagram expressing his excitement at seeing the team victorious and showing his focus by urging concentration on the next game already, with Spurs facing Borussia Dortmund in midweek in the Champions League.
Aurier was always a long shot to feature at Goodison Park as he had played twice for Ivory Coast on international duty days earlier.
He had just one day to train with the first team and Kieran Trippier’s recovery from his ankle injury meant the England ace slotted back in at right-back.
It would be a surprise if head coach Mauricio Pochettino put Aurier into the side ahead of Trippier in the Champions League, but like at Goodison he should be on the bench and ready to step in if called upon.
The former PSG ace could be handed a first start at home to Swansea City next weekend instead, with a full week training and getting to know his teammates under his belt.
