Tottenham Hotspur star was involved in incident which injured Everton star.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier has sent his best wishes to Everton’s Andre Gomes.
Aurier was involved in the incident at Goodison Park which left Gomes needing surgery on a fractured ankle.
24 hours after the match, Aurier sent a message to express his condolences to the Everton man regarding his injury.
Aurier and Heung-Min Son were both challenging Gomes for possession when he suffered the injury.
It appears as though the Portugese midfielder will miss most of, if not all of the rest of the season.
Gomes underwent surgery on Monday, with Everton confirming the procedure went ‘extremely well’.
The Toffees also thanked all the well wishers for the sympathy and support that Gomes has received since suffering the unfortunate injury.
